This is a Phase 1 study currently evaluating PO administered ompenaclid in combination with FOLFIRI and bevacizumab in patients with advanced (i.e., locally advanced and unresectable, or metastatic) previously treated colorectal adenocarcinoma. The single agent ompenaclid dose escalation stage and the ompenaclid in combination with FOLFIRI and bevacizumab dose escalation stage of the study has been completed; the expansion stage of ompenaclid in combination with FOLFIRI and bevacizumab is ongoing. In April-24 a protocol amendment added a new dose escalation and expansion stage which will evaluate ompenaclid in combination with FOLFOX and bevacizumab in patients with metastatic CRC. It is anticipated that a total of 30 patients will be enrolled in this new dose escalation and expansion stage of the study.

Why Other Patients Applied

"My orthopedist recommended a half replacement of my right knee. I have had both hips replaced. Currently have arthritis in knee, shoulder, and thumb. I want to avoid surgery, and I'm open-minded about trying a trial before using surgery as a last resort."

"I changed my diet in 2020 and I’ve lost 95 pounds from my highest weight (283). I am 5’3”, female, and now 188. I still have a 33 BMI. I've been doing research on alternative approaches to continue my progress, which brought me here to consider clinical trials."

WR
Obesity PatientAge: 58

"I've tried several different SSRIs over the past 23 years with no luck. Some of these new treatments seem interesting... haven't tried anything like them before. I really hope that one could work."

ZS
Depression PatientAge: 51

"I have dealt with voice and vocal fold issues related to paralysis for over 12 years. This problem has negatively impacted virtually every facet of my life. I am an otherwise healthy 48 year old married father of 3 living. My youngest daughter is 12 and has never heard my real voice. I am now having breathing issues related to the paralysis as well as trouble swallowing some liquids. In my research I have seen some recent trials focused on helping people like me."

Investigators will evaluate the implementation of an evidence-based, Spanish-language, digital, cognitive-behavioral therapy intervention (SilverCloud) in primary care settings for Latino patients with depression and/or anxiety. 426 participants will be enrolled in a two-armed trial comparing self-guided vs. supported dCBT (SilverCloud). At the provider level, investigators will compare the efficacy of provider referrals with the use of a clinic patient registry to identify candidates who could benefit from a digital mental health intervention.

This study will identify components for inclusion in a coping intervention package to reduce mental health problems among children exposed to high interparental conflict after parental separation/divorce. Reappraisal, distraction, and relaxation coping strategies are related to fewer mental health problems among children, making intervention components based on these strategies key candidates for inclusion in an optimized coping intervention. The primary aim is to experimentally assess the main and interactive effects of three digital intervention coping components (reappraisal, distraction, relaxation) on children's coping efficacy, emotional security, and internalizing and externalizing problems. Secondary aims are to assess indirect effects of the intervention components on children's coping efficacy, emotional security, and internalizing and externalizing problems through their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral reactions to post-separation/divorce interparental conflict events.

Inhaled Cannabis for PTSD

Cave Creek, Arizona
The rationale for the use of inhalational cannabis to potentially treat PTSD symptoms is based on the many reports of cannabis attenuating PTSD symptom expression among individuals with PTSD, including veterans. Study MJP2 is intended to build off MJP-1 through use of a larger sample size, a parallel study design, and subjective bias mitigation methods to re-examine the use of inhaled high THC-containing cannabis versus placebo for management of PTSD symptoms in a U.S. Veteran sample. Together these studies are intended to provide valuable insights on the already widespread use of cannabis in individuals with PTSD, for which there is currently a lack of controlled evidence available reflective of this real-world use.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is defined as an impaired ability to move air within the lungs and is a major public health problem that is projected to rank fifth worldwide in terms of disease burden and third in terms of mortality. Chronic bronchitis (CB) is a common clinical phenotype within the umbrella of a COPD diagnosis and is classically defined as chronic cough and sputum production for 3 months a year for 2 consecutive years2, but many studies have used different definitions to define it- chronic cough and sputum production for one year or cough and sputum production on most days of the week. CB is associated with multiple clinical consequences, including; the worsening of lung function decline, increasing risk of acute exacerbations of COPD, increased risk of developing pneumonia, reduced health related quality of life, and an increase in all-cause mortality.
