PF-07275315 for Asthma

Edmond, Oklahoma
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called PF-07275315) for the potential treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma. Asthma is a condition that makes it challenging to breathe, which negatively impacts the quality of life and functioning of people who are affected. This study is seeking participants who: * Are 18 to 70 years old * Have had moderate-to-severe asthma for at least 12 months that is not well controlled * Have been taking their regular maintenance treatment(s) for asthma over the last 12 months All participants will receive PF-07275315 or a placebo. A placebo does not have any medicine in it but looks just like the medicine being studied. PF-07275315 or placebo will be given as multiple shots in the clinic over the course of 12 weeks. We will compare the experiences of people receiving PF-07275315 to those of the people who do not. This will help us determine if PF-07275315 is safe and effective. Participants will be involved in this study for about 9.5 months. During this time, they will have 10 visits at the study clinic.

This study will compare two methods of electrical stimulation (alternating current and direct current) as an adjunctive therapy to treating lumbosacral radiculopathy. Both types of electrical stimulation have been used in clinical practice for physical therapy, however direct current stimulation is much less common and there is less known about its impact on physical therapy outcomes. The aim of this project is to show the efficacy of a novel device, the Neubie direct current device, compared to traditional TENS unit in clinical physical therapy treatment of radiculopathy. Outcomes measured will include: pain intensity, functional status, neurological status, electrophysiological changes and patient satisfaction.

Cochlear implants are surgically implanted devices which restore the ability to hear to the hearing impaired. Improvements in surgery and electrodes have results in an increased number of adults and children who have residual hearing and can benefit from electric and acoustic hearing in the same ear. This is called Electric Acoustic Stimulation (EAS). Many studies have shown that adult EAS users show significant benefits for speech understanding in noise and spatial hearing tasks as compared to a CI paired only with a contralateral HA. Even though this type of hearing is becoming more common, there is limited research on how it can be beneficial to children with CIs. The benefits of this study are a greater understanding of the participant's speech understanding, binaural processing, and spatial hearing. The results will help audiologists and researcher better understand how cochlear implants work, specifically when using electric and acoustic hearing in the same ear.

The goal of this single arm study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Wesper Lab, previously known as TatchSleep Pro, a wireless home sleep test, as a tool to aid in sleep apnea diagnosis as compared to an overnight polysomnography (PSG) evaluation in a pediatric population (subjects 2 to 21 years of age). The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: * Does Wesper Lab demonstrate agreement with PSG for the calculation of the apnea/hypopnea index (AHI)? * Does Wesper Lab demonstrate agreement with PFG for the calculation of sleep apnea severity. Participants that are already undergoing a prescribed PSG for the detection of sleep apnea will be asked to simultaneously wear the Wesper Lab sensors and an FDA approved pulse oximeter. Researchers will compare the AHI of Wesper Lab to the AHI of the PSG to determine the accuracy of the Wesper Lab device. This is a single center, single-arm, quantitative study

Why Other Patients Applied

"I changed my diet in 2020 and I’ve lost 95 pounds from my highest weight (283). I am 5’3”, female, and now 188. I still have a 33 BMI. I've been doing research on alternative approaches to continue my progress, which brought me here to consider clinical trials."

"I've been struggling with ADHD and anxiety since I was 9 years old. I'm currently 30. I really don't like how numb the medications make me feel. And especially now, that I've lost my grandma and my aunt 8 days apart, my anxiety has been even worse. So I'm trying to find something new."

FF

"As a healthy volunteer, I like to participate in as many trials as I'm able to. It's a good way to help research and earn money."

IZ

"My orthopedist recommended a half replacement of my right knee. I have had both hips replaced. Currently have arthritis in knee, shoulder, and thumb. I want to avoid surgery, and I'm open-minded about trying a trial before using surgery as a last resort."

HZ
Arthritis PatientAge: 78

"I have dealt with voice and vocal fold issues related to paralysis for over 12 years. This problem has negatively impacted virtually every facet of my life. I am an otherwise healthy 48 year old married father of 3 living. My youngest daughter is 12 and has never heard my real voice. I am now having breathing issues related to the paralysis as well as trouble swallowing some liquids. In my research I have seen some recent trials focused on helping people like me."

This trial tests an inhaler that combines two medications to help people with poorly controlled asthma. It aims to see if this new inhaler can better manage their symptoms by reducing inflammation and keeping airways open. Combination products often have useful clinical benefits in asthma.
