      Bone Marrow Aspirate for Knee Injuries

      New York, New York
      This study will examine whether using bone marrow aspirate (BMA) during knee arthroscopy surgery can improve patient outcomes. The investigators will enroll 50 patients who need knee arthroscopy surgery for meniscus injuries or cartilage damage. Like flipping a coin, patients will be randomly assigned to one of two groups of 25 patients each. One group will receive standard arthroscopic surgery plus an injection of bone marrow aspirate, while the other group will receive standard surgery plus a saline (salt water) injection. During surgery, for patients in the treatment group, approximately 4mL (less than one teaspoon) of bone marrow will be taken from their hip bone using a special needle system. A small amount (1mL) will be sent to the laboratory for testing. Patients will be followed for 12 months after surgery and will complete questionnaires about their pain levels and knee function at several time points: before surgery, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after surgery. These questionnaires will ask about pain, daily activities, and overall improvement.

      The ImmuneNet study is a Phase I/II clinical trial sponsored by Truway Health, Inc. It will test whether gentle, low-frequency electromagnetic resonance (LF-EMR) can influence how immune cells communicate and synchronize with each other. The goal is to see if this "quantum-synaptic" signaling effect can help stabilize immune activity and reduce the number of autoimmune flare-ups in people living with conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or multiple sclerosis.       This is a parallel group, Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, 5-arm, international, multicenter, 12-week proof of concept, dose finding study. It is designed to assess efficacy and safety of treatment with SAR441566 for 12 weeks. It will be conducted in male and female adult participants with moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA) not adequately controlled on methotrexate (MTX) and biologic/targeted synthetic disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) naive. Study treatment includes investigational medicinal product (IMP: SAR441566 or placebo) added-on to a background therapy of MTX.       NaF PET Imaging for Bone Cancer

      18F-sodium fluoride (18F-NaF) was already investigated numerous times in the last 40 years as a PET alternative to standard 99m-technetium-derived bone scintigraphy. However, lack of universal tracer availability and higher costs contributed to the failure of 18F-NaF to systematically supplant bone scintigraphy as a standard of care. Recently, an isotope shortage crisis occurred and evidenced the need to have non-reactor-derived alternatives for many nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scintigraphy. Since 18F-NaF is cyclotron-produced, it could become a necessary alternative to bone scintigraphy in case of another worldwide isotope shortage. The study aims to evaluate the safety profile of 18F-NaF injection. Moreover, a patient registry will be compiled in order to perform sub-studies on 18F-NaF diagnostic performance on diverse bone and articular diseases.
